Chairman’s Message
This will be our 29th Year on the present site, I hope you can join in and help us celebrate.
First a few words about last year and a big thank you on behalf of all the committee for everyone’s support. We again declared the Show a success with the biggest turnout ever. As well as our reputation for providing a great day out for all ages, the weather was more than kind to us. We took full advantage of the brief ‘window of opportunity’ the sun shone in what was one of the most dreadfully wet years on record. All the events were well attended and the evening saw 300 tickets sold.
Exhibits for the Horticultural and Produce Show will be accepted between 8.30am and 10.45am. It was noted and encouraging that there were new exhibitors taking part last year. If you have not had a go yet now is the time to. This year there will be 114 classes to enter. See our website for the schedule www.auckleyshow.co.uk and soon to be published in the Arrow Magazine
Web Site www.auckleyshow.co.uk There are still some out there who are not aware of our web site. We update the site regularly so keep giving us a visit when you are surfing the net and tell your friends, family and neighbours to do the same. Have you signed in to our guest book yet? We have built up a great collection of photographs, take a look.
Auckley Show 200+Club This is still going strong and there are numbers available for the monthly draw. Prizes currently stand at £100 for first £20 for second and £10 for third. It is a great way to support the Show and keep our traditional community event alive. Contact any committee member if you wish to take part. It will cost you £1 per month or pay £10 for 12 months.
