Sensory UK has been formed by Carers of Special Needs Children & Adults in the UK.

Ideal for children and adults with special needs (especially visual impairment and autism) or any child. Sensory therapy stimulates pathways in the brain. It is an inclusive environment, one that can be used by everyone, regardless of age, gender or disability.

We are proud to be able to host such a unique experience at Auckley Show. This is one of the first times in the country that the facilities offered by Sensory UK are going to be available at a public show event. We are equally pleased to be able to say that we are supporting a company that is based in Auckley itself.

We often take for granted the senses that we all use to experience the excitement of our surroundings. For some people this experience is limited by the way they experience the world. Whilst senses may be impaired, it does not mean that those people are not capable of enjoying their environment. A sensory room seeks to provide stimulation in all senses to reach past the obstacles that may be there. Even for people that regard themselves as ‘normal’ there can be pleasure in an event experienced in a different way through senses used differently.

Please come and see the facilities available and support the valuable work this local company is undertaking.

The Auckley Show Committee and Sensory UK are very grateful to George Mudford & Sons of Retford for generously providing a marquee which has made possible the provision of this facility.
