TALENT
Friday 13th August 2010, The Riverside Park, Auckley
RULES
All entrants must apply to be included before Sunday 8th August. Places are limited. In the event being over subscribed entrants will be treated on a strictly first come first entered basis.
Age Restrictions
Performances will be judged in age categories, all entrants should be between 2 and 16 years old. The categories will be based on numbers within each age range and therefore will be selected once entry is closed.
On the Night
All acts must be supervised by an adult and are expected to report to the stage area in the Riverside Marquee by 6.15pm and make themselves known to the Auckley Show’s Got Talent Representative who will give them their “Show Time Slot”. Acts must supply their own equipment and bring along any music they may wish to play.
Categories of Performance
The following as suggested act types:
- Storytelling/Comedy
- Drama
- Poetry
- Dance/Music
Time Limits
Each performance is limited to a total time of 3 minutes.
Contestants will receive a one-half point reduction for each 30 seconds over the allotted time.
Judging/Scoring
Three judges will rate the performer(s) on the following three components:
- Talent (Ability, skill, proficiency, polish)
- Showmanship (Poise, projection, adaptability, stage presence)
- Staging/Costume (Creativity, special effects, appropriateness to performance)
Prizes
A trophy will be awarded to the first place winners in each category. Each contestant will receive a certificate of participation.

by Sunday 8th August 2010 ( * you will be contacted to confirm your entry )
The Auckley Show Committee reserves the right to reject any entry which it deems inappropriate. If there are problems with any of the entry requests the Adult Contact will be advised prior to the event. This measure is simply in place to ensure that a good time is had by ALL.
The Auckley Show Committee is unable to take any responsibility for children attending the talent show and disco. Please ensure that the appropriate adult supervision is available for your child.
