One of the most famous events within the Auckley Show, this year’s Tug of War promises to be a true crowd-puller.
With trophies, prizes and perhaps even a special added incentive, soon to be announced, the organisers would like to encourage some new blood into the competition. (No, you don’t actually have to spill any).
All it takes is eight hefty haulers and someone to shout at them. Well the truth is probably a little more technical for some of the teams, but don’t let that stop you. The event is open for any team to register, whether they be fire-fighters or couch-potatoes. And just in case you were wondering, this is not a gender discriminated event. So if someone out there wants to redefine the stereotype just gather some mates and sign up.
